Warm hearts in the middle of a meal
In recent times, the "Union Meal" has not only been a meal with improved quality, but also a practical and humane concern of the Quang Tri Provincial Trade Union for each union member and employee.
At Tong Power Quang Binh Co., Ltd., more than 590 workers were moved when receiving a special meal on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. Each meal is worth 55,000 VND, 35,000 VND higher than the daily shift meal, of which the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) supports 30,000 VND/meal.
Ms. Ta Thi Tham, a 1st sewing worker, shared: "That day's meal was not only better, but also warmed our hearts. The trade union has truly cared for and understood the workers".
Not only stopping at nutritious meals, the activity also brought specific sharing when the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 15 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to union members in difficult circumstances. The feeling of being cared for, listened to and shared makes many employees love their jobs more and stick with the business more.
At Dai Thanh Joint Stock Company, the union meal took place in a warm and affectionate atmosphere. More than 250 workers were served meals worth 53,000 VND/meal, supported from many sides: 25,000 VND from the Provincial Federation of Labor, 10,000 VND from the Trade Union and the rest was paid by the company.
Ms. Mai Hai Van, Deputy Director of the Company, said that this is an opportunity to thank employees who have continuously contributed to the enterprise.
We always consider meals an investment in the health and employment of workers, said Ms. Van.
The union continues to spread
Not only in industrial parks, "Union Meals" are also held at educational institutions such as Tuoi Than Tien Kindergarten. Each meal worth 60,000 VND is carefully prepared, bringing closeness and sharing among teachers and staff. That intimacy contributes to connecting the pedagogical community and warming the hearts of those who are day by day quietly contributing to the education sector.
At Chaichareon Viet Thai Company Limited, 80 employees also enjoyed meals of twice as high quality as usual.
Todays meals are not only a material improvement but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, said an emotional worker.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor also presented 3 gifts worth VND500,000 to union members in difficult circumstances.
Sharing about the significance of the program, Mr. Nguyen The Lap - Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized: "We not only bring a more delicious meal, but also want to send a message: The Trade Union always accompanies, shares and takes practical care of workers. This is also a way for us to contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
Mr. Lap said that in the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to replicate the model of "Union Meals", while diversifying forms of care so that each union member can clearly feel the role of the organization in daily life.
The trade union does not only appear when workers are in difficulty but also always stands side by side in every daily moment, such as lunch at the factory, office, or classroom, he affirmed.
Simple but filled with affection "Union Meals" are becoming a warm support for workers in Quang Tri. That is not only caring, but also the way the Trade Union organization continues its journey of love, solidarity and sharing between workers, enterprises, and representative organizations.
