On June 18, Hue City Labor Federation said that in recent years, the city has synchronously implemented programs to create jobs, develop human resources and connect labor supply and demand, in which focusing on effectively implementing unemployment insurance policies to ensure the rights of workers.
Timely settlement of unemployment benefits, vocational training support, counseling and job introduction have helped many workers return to the labor market soon, stabilizing income and life.
In 2026, Hue City continues to set a goal to build a modern, flexible and sustainable labor market, creating a foundation to improve the effectiveness of employment and unemployment insurance policies, contributing to the good implementation of social security work in the area.
According to Resolution No. 15/2026/NQ-HDND issued by Hue City People's Council on May 22, 2026, many policies to support job creation in the country and abroad in the period 2026 - 2030 have been implemented to create conditions for workers to improve their access to employment and increase income.
Specifically, workers going to work abroad under contracts are supported with travel expenses during the training period with a level of 500,000 VND/person/course for training institutions in the city and 1 million VND/person/course for training institutions outside the area. Workers are also supported with actual health check-up expenses with a maximum level of 1.6 million VND/person.
According to the domestic and foreign job creation plan for 2026, Hue City strives to connect and create jobs for 18,000 workers, including 2,400 workers going to work abroad under contract. The city also sets a target to maintain the urban unemployment rate below 2% and increase the rate of trained workers to 76% by the end of the year.
In addition, 45% of workers will be consulted and introduced to jobs by the Employment Service Center system; 100% of workers before going to work abroad will be fully consulted on support policies related to loans, margin loans and other support regimes.
