Caring for life, salary policies to attract workers
Grassroots trade unions in many enterprises are implementing many flexible solutions, prioritizing income care and welfare, creating a stable working environment and improving workers' lives.
At Mac Leader Vietnam Garment Company Limited, although it is in salary zone III with a minimum of VND 3,860,000, the company has agreed to apply a salary zone II of VND 4,410,000, nearly VND 550,000 higher than the regulations, demonstrating practical concern for the rights of employees.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, a garment worker, said that with her salary in region II, her total monthly income fluctuates around nearly 10 million VND depending on the number of overtime hours, helping to reduce spending pressure.
"Many regimes are discussed by the Executive Committee of the Trade Union such as: support for childcare under 06 years old, travel expenses, diligence expenses, seniority expenses... and there are enterprises that, in addition to participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, also buy accident insurance for employees", Ms. Truc added.

At Ty Xuan Company Limited, the collective wedding model for young workers is of interest to the Trade Union. This activity helps reduce the burden of organization costs, while creating a joyful atmosphere and connecting colleagues with business leaders.
Mr. Tran Minh Thien, a cutting worker, shared: the collective wedding helps his family save a lot of money. He emphasized the full support from the Union to help workers feel secure in organizing the wedding.
"The union takes care of all preparations, from decoration, wedding parties to gifts. Thanks to that, the couple is both happy and worried about expenses, feeling truly cared for by the company, the union and colleagues, Mr. Thien added.
Caring for life, improving workers' welfare
At Mega Surplus Vietnam Garment Company Limited, maintaining the "Love Sunday" program, once a month, the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Trade Union visit the workers' homes to visit and provide timely support to workers in difficulty.
Mr. Truong Hoang Huynh - Chairman of the company's Trade Union - said that going to the house helps to understand real life and provide timely support. The presence of leaders makes workers feel shared, more trust and long-term attachment.

According to the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, the care work of the grassroots trade union in recent times has had practical innovations, closely following the needs of workers' lives. New models, good and effective methods are creating positive changes in labor relations at enterprises.
The Provincial Federation of Labor identifies caring for and improving the rights and welfare of workers as one of the important tasks, aiming to meet the most core and practical needs of union members and workers.
Key solutions include improving the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, ensuring benefits on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours and occupational safety and hygiene. This content will be included in the draft document submitted to the Provincial Trade Union Congress in mid-December.
