On October 18, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) said that up to now, 98/1,001 grassroots trade unions have held congresses, preparing for the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030. 17 commune and ward trade unions will start holding congresses from October 23.
The Congresses of Commune-level Trade Unions, Grassroots Trade Unions, and Grassroots Trade Unions are tasked with summarizing the activities of Trade Unions in the past term; deciding on targets, directions, tasks, and solutions for the coming term.
The Congress also discussed and contributed opinions to the draft documents of the Upper-level Trade Union Congress; synthesized recommendations from union members and workers on the legitimate and legal rights and interests and activities of the Trade Union.
In addition, the congress also considered amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; electing the new term Executive Committee of the Trade Union along with key positions; electing delegates to attend the higher-level Trade Union congress; or announcing the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Trade Union Inspection Committee for the new term and key positions.
According to the plan, the Congress of Commune and Ward Trade Unions will be held after the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune level and completed before October 31.
The Congress of grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions, member grassroots trade unions, and departmental trade unions will be completed before November 15, with a time of no more than 1 session.
The 1st Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union Congress will be held after the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and completed before December 31, no more than 2 sessions.
