Attending the program were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Le Duc Anh - Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade; also attending were representatives of the Labor Federation of Vinh City, Hung Nguyen District and affiliated grassroots unions.
At the program, Mr. Pham Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Trade Union (Former Chairman of the Industry and Trade Union) said that after 17 years of operation, the Industry and Trade Union has 37 affiliated grassroots trade unions, with a total of 2,556 union members, workers and civil servants.
Despite many difficulties, with the attention of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the coordination of leaders at all levels, the Industry and Trade Union overcame challenges and completed its tasks well.
Implement Resolution 18 dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate and streamline the apparatus of the political system to operate effectively and efficiently.
The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor issued Decision No. 98 dated February 26, 2025 on the dissolution of industry unions, including Nghe An Industry and Trade Union.
Accordingly, from March 1, 2025, the Industry and Trade Trade Union will officially be dissolved, and grassroots unions will be handed over to other organizations such as the Provincial Party Trade Union, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union, and the Labor Federations of districts and cities.
The former Chairman of the Industry and Trade Trade Union also expressed his gratitude for the attention and support of leaders at all levels, unions, grassroots union officials, and all union members in the industry for creating proud achievements.
The program also awarded the General Confederation of Labor Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals; announced Decision No. 107 dated February 26, 2025 of the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee on the transfer of grassroots trade unions and union members.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged the achievements that Nghe An Industry and Trade Union has achieved over the years.
At the same time, he hoped that the Executive Committee of the Industry and Trade Trade Union and grassroots unions would continue to promote the tradition of the industry, regardless of which unit they belong to, and continue to strive to build an increasingly strong trade union organization.
