On March 30, according to information from Dien Chau General Hospital, Nghe An province, at more than 10:00 a.m. on March 29, 12 victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance after the accident on the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway.
The X-ray and ultrasound results showed: one patient was injured in the head but not hospitalized for treatment; one person had a broken hand job; two teachers were seriously injured, one of whom suffered a traumatic brain injury, the other a multiple fractures and was transferred to Nghe An General Hospital for treatment.
Previously, at around 9:00 a.m., a 16-seat car carrying teachers and students from Tay Hieu Primary School (Thai Hoa town) went to Vinh City to cheer for a student participating in "English Playground".
When reaching Dien Chau - Bai Vot Expressway, near the Dien Chau District rest stop, the vehicle was hit hard from behind by a truck carrying materials traveling in the same direction, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The accident caused traffic congestion on the North - South expressway.
Immediately after the incident, the Road - Expressway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) and other functional forces were present at the scene to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
