On February 17, Mr. Le An Hai - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union said (CĐCTVN), implementing Plan No. 34/KH/TLĐ dated October 15, 2025 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to care for union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, CĐCTVN has developed a plan on organizing activities to care for union members and workers.
And based on the proposals of units in the industry, CĐCTVN issued Decision No. 508/QD-CĐCTVN on supporting 1,788 union members and workers at 70 directly affiliated grassroots trade unions with a total amount of 1,788,000,000 VND on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; each union member and worker is supported with 1,000,000,000 VND/person.
At the same time, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour visited, wished Tet and presented gifts to collectives, union members, and workers at 30 grassroots trade unions directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, directly under the Group's Trade Union, and the Corporation with a total amount of 1,117,000,000 VND.
Along with that, leaders of CĐCTVN also coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to visit, wish Tet and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances in 3 communes of Hong Minh, Tien La, Le Quy Don, Hung Yen province with a total amount of 300,000,000 VND.
According to records of CĐCTVN from January 5, 2026 to the end of January 31, 2026, trade union levels directly under CĐCTVN had 2,491 union members successfully purchased goods at the 2026 Online Trade Union Tet Market Program, reaching a rate of 87.1%. Many units and grassroots trade unions have a high rate of union members completing purchases. Many opinions of union members, workers, and trade union officials at all levels responded positively, supported, and highly appreciated the Program.
