Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's teachings about the role of trade union organizations in caring for the material and spiritual life of workers (NLĐ), the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of An Giang Lottery Company Limited (the company) always determines that studying and following Uncle Ho must be closely linked to political and professional tasks and production and business activities of enterprises.
One of the highlights of the unit is to bring studying and following Uncle Ho associated with patriotic emulation movements such as "Good labor, creative labor", "Good at state affairs, good at housework", thereby arousing the spirit of innovation and creativity in the team of officials, union members and workers.
In 2024, many initiatives and management solutions were effectively applied, typically innovating working methods in management and administration activities; improving financial management related to agent commission payments. These solutions have contributed to helping the company exceed the assigned targets.
Specifically, revenue reached VND 6,498 billion, equal to 103.5% of the plan; pre-tax profit reached VND 873.5 billion, equal to 109.2% of the plan; state budget contribution reached VND 2,070 billion, equal to 110.7% of the plan. The company continued to be classified as an A-class enterprise. The above results show that studying and following Uncle Ho not only improves the awareness and responsibility of officials and employees but also becomes an important driving force to promote the stable and sustainable development of the enterprise.
Spreading the spirit of mutual affection for the community
Not only completing the production and business tasks well, the Company's grassroots trade union also actively implements social security activities with the motto "Exporting the country - benefiting the home", "Love and responsibility". In addition to caring for the material and spiritual life of employees, the unit regularly organizes traditional education activities, journeys to the source in Con Dao, Minh Dam Mountain historical relic, Duc Thanh School (Phan Thiet), Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An associated with the theme "An Giang learns and follows the example of Uncle Ho, Uncle Ton in caring for people's lives".
The grassroots trade union also mobilized officials, union members, workers, the agency system and lottery companies in the area to participate in contributing to the Fund for the Poor, the Social Security Fund, the Provincial Scholarship Fund and many other charity programs.
The mobilized funds are used to build Great Solidarity houses for poor households, award scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, disabled students and implement many practical community support activities.
In particular, stemming from the spirit of humanity and social responsibility, the unit has implemented many solutions to care for lottery ticket sellers directly. Timely support not only helps lottery ticket sellers stabilize their lives and feel secure in making a living, but also contributes to maintaining the effectiveness of business operations and creating sustainable development for businesses. These practical actions not only demonstrate the responsibility of businesses to society but also contribute to spreading the profound human values from studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, ethics, and style.
With the outstanding results achieved, the collective Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union of the department and Mr. Trinh Bao Chau - Deputy Director, Chairman of the Company's grassroots trade union were commended by the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation as an advanced example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style in the period 2023 - 2025.
This is not only a recognition of the efforts of typical collectives and individuals, but also a motivation for grassroots trade unions to continue to innovate and be creative in their activities, building an increasingly strong trade union organization, becoming a reliable support for union members and workers, contributing to promoting stable and sustainable development of lottery activities and making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of An Giang province.
