Helping workers stay with the enterprise
In the last days of August, in many industrial parks and high-tech parks in Da Nang, the dining atmosphere became strangely bustling. The "Union Meal" program organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation (DOLF) in coordination with grassroots unions has brought thousands of workers delicious, nutritious meals and fillings containing affection.
Mr. Bui Minh Vu - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union - said: "The message of the Trade Union Meal - "Solidarity of Love" does not only stop at improving meals, but is also an opportunity for workers to sit together, share, connect and work together towards the goal of sustainable development".
Not only in Foster, the program has also spread to RGM Da Nang Co., Ltd., UAC Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Dong Phuong Co., Ltd., attracting thousands of workers to participate.
Ms. Thu Thuy - a worker at Foster Company - shared: "We are attached to machinery all year round, and meals are often quick. This time, being able to sit together and feel the attention of the union and the enterprise, everyone feels warm-hearted and motivated to work".
Along with the meal, the City Labor Federation also presented dozens of gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to union members in difficult circumstances. At the same time, more than 1,000 motorbikes - a means of daily life for workers - were replaced with oil for free; hundreds of workers were given health check-ups, medicine and vaccinated against influenza.
Ms. Ho Thi Lan Huong - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - affirmed: "We hope to improve our material and spiritual life, helping workers feel secure in sticking with the enterprise and the Trade Union organization for a long time".
The temple replies gratitude, fostering revolutionary ideals
Not only caring about life, the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the great national holiday also emphasizes the meaning of gratitude and traditional education.
The Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union and Foxlink Da Nang Electronics Co., Ltd. visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Lieu and many policy families. The Hoa Cuong Ward Labor Union in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts to 5 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers living in the area.
In each place, union representatives kindly visited and expressed their deep gratitude for the great sacrifices of mothers, Labor Heroes and previous generations. Those gestures not only demonstrate the morality of "remembering the source when drinking water", but also remind the younger generation about the responsibility to continue the revolutionary tradition.
In particular, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a thematic activity conference for nearly 300 union officials, with the content of learning about the historical significance of the August Revolution, the achievements of 80 years of building the country and the role of the working class in that process. The conference also provided knowledge for union officials to identify and fight against false arguments in cyberspace.
It can be seen that the activities that the Da Nang Trade Union implements during the National Day holiday not only bring practical material benefits, but also create community cohesion and arouse national pride. From warm meals, supporting daily life, to gratitude trips and nurturing revolutionary ideals - all have contributed to spreading the passion in each union member and employee.
That is the way the Da Nang Trade Union celebrates the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 with practical actions, sincere care and by nurturing the trust and ideals in the hearts of workers today.
