Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union is implementing the Project "Trade Union promotes building labor safety culture (VHATLĐ) at workplaces in the period 2025-2030" in the province, aiming to make labor safety a part of corporate culture and habits of each worker (NLĐ).
The project aims to create a clear change in awareness, consciousness, style and habits of union members and workers in complying with regulations on occupational safety and health (ATVSLĐ); proactively preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Encourage businesses to apply a set of criteria to assess the level of labor safety, commit to building annual improvement plans to create a safe working environment, improve production efficiency, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.
To realize this goal, the Provincial Trade Union divided the implementation roadmap into 2 phases with specific targets.
In the period 2026-2027, the Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) and 100% of Commune and Ward Trade Unions will implement the Project; promote propaganda on building VHATLĐ to union members and workers.
Each year, the Provincial Labor Federation strives to mobilize at least one enterprise to build a model to replicate. In addition, at least 70% of trade union officials in charge of OSH work and 50% of safety and hygiene workers are trained and foster knowledge and skills.
In the period 2028-2030, strive for 100% of full-time Trade Union officials to monitor OSH work and at least 80% of safety and hygiene workers to be trained and professionally fostered. All grassroots Trade Unions organize propaganda and training on building OSH at workplaces.
By 2030, the Provincial Labor Federation strives to build at least 5 model points on VHATLĐ; each Commune and Ward Trade Union has at least 1 model point at the workplace.
According to Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, the Project aims to raise awareness and responsibility of Trade Union levels, employers and employees in building VHATLĐ.
Trade union levels will promote propaganda, dialogue and collective negotiation on OSH; promote improving working conditions, preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases, thereby ensuring the right of workers to work in a safe environment.
The core point of the Project is to shift the focus from grassroots activities to solutions with specific results. Building and replicating model points will create a spreading effect, gradually making VHATLĐ a part of corporate culture, contributing to building a safe and sustainable working environment.
