Trade unions in corporations and general companies have contributed to improving wages and raising the living standards of workers.

At the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union, the Corporation's leaders have implemented many solutions to improve operational efficiency, creating conditions to determine the highest salary fund according to regulations. The Corporation has increased the salary of the position by 6% compared to the implementation in 2022, applied from July 1, 2024; adjusted the rate of enjoying productivity salary, flight salary, concurrent salary... according to the annual production and business situation.

In 2024, the labor relations between the Corporation and employees always remained stable and harmonious, with no collective labor disputes or strikes.

According to Mr. Dao Manh Kien - Chairman of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union, this is the result of close coordination efforts between the parties, in which the Trade Union plays an important role as a bridge, not only as a representative to protect the rights of employees but also as a partner accompanying employers in building a positive and sustainable working environment.

At the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, production and business activities of enterprises continue to be maintained and have many improvements, especially in the garment industry. The vast majority of enterprises in the system ensure jobs, increase income, and improve the lives of workers. In 2024, the average income of workers will reach 10.06 million VND/person/month (an increase of 5% over the same period in 2023).

For the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Trade Union, the average salary of the whole group reached 17.15 million VND/person/month, equal to 103.7% of the plan. Employees were basically provided with enough jobs, income was guaranteed, policies were fully implemented, their mindset was stable, they were assured of working and production, they were attached to the enterprise, there were no strikes or work stoppages. In addition, the group issued a salary scale and payroll system, and increased the social insurance contribution for employees by an average of 14%. The union requested that experts not only increase the social insurance contribution salary, but also increase the income of employees.

At the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union, trade unions at all levels regularly propagate and mobilize union members and workers to practice thrift, actively increase production, and develop family economy, so the income and life of workers have improved, the average salary reached 6.81 million VND/person/month, the average income was about 7.95 million VND/person/month. At the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union, the average salary reached 14.1 million VND/person/month...

Directing at the conference summarizing the emulation work of the Emulation Bloc of Trade Unions of Corporations and General Companies under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - expressed his hope that units would pay attention to dialogue, negotiation, and signing collective labor agreements at the establishments; and could sign agreements within groups of enterprises, industries, and corporations. In addition, trade unions need to participate with enterprises to ensure the issue of Tet bonuses for union members and employees.
