Spreading the spirit of humanity in the community
Recently, on March 30, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Hai Ha district organized the first Voluntary Blood Donation Festival in 2025. More than 250 workers and laborers (CN, NLD) from Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park (IP) participated.
As early as 7:30 a.m., the volunteers were fully present at the Multi-purpose House of Quang Ha Town Primary School, Hai Ha District to register to donate blood. As a result, the Organizing Committee received 397 units of blood, exceeding the set target by 111% (355 units of blood).
Mr. Bach Tung Lam - Vice Chairman of the Hai Ha District Labor Federation - shared: "As a member of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, as soon as we received the plan from the District Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, we launched a movement to all grassroots unions in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park. As a result, 250 employees and workers in this industrial park participated in blood donation, exceeding the assigned target by 263% (95 participants). Notably, among the blood donors, many directors, union chairmen and employees have donated blood more than 10 times".
Ms. Ngo Thi Hoa (born in 1993), currently the Head of Con Fiber, Workshop 3, Ngan Ha Technical Technology Company Limited, has participated in voluntary blood donation 5 times, sharing: "I have worked at the company for 12 years. In recent years, I have participated in blood donation every year, in 2024 I donated blood twice. I think this is a very normal job. When healthy, donating blood not only helps society but also contributes to saving the lives of patients who urgently need blood. As the manager of 230 workers and laborers, when the company's trade union launched a blood donation movement, I always took the lead as an example, and at the same time propagated and mobilized people to respond more enthusiastically. In this blood donation, my workshop has 10 people participating".
Joining hands to eliminate temporary houses
Following the direction of the Standing Committee of Hai Ha District Party Committee "on strengthening the leadership of the Party Committees at all levels of sustainable poverty reduction in the district in the period of 2024 - 2025", over the past time, Hai Ha District Labor Federation has launched to trade unions and union members in the whole district to support social security fund to erase temporary houses and dilapidated houses in the area.
In 2024, many union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) in the area donated 191 million VND. The above amount was transferred to the "Social Security Fund, Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" of the district, managed and implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Ha district according to regulations.
This is a great and practical source of encouragement, contributing to the Party Committee and government of Hai Ha district in effectively implementing poverty reduction work and social security programs, helping those in difficult circumstances to stabilize their lives.
Currently, there are about 16,000 employees in Hai Ha district. Along with the spirit of completing production and business goals and accelerating economic development, Hai Ha district trade unions at all levels have been, are and will accompany workers and employees in community activities.
Seeing the joy of many difficult circumstances and excitement when receiving help from the union, we were equally happy.
