Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Head of the Committee for the Advancement of Women in the Banking industry, Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union attended.

On behalf of the State Bank's Board of Directors, the Standing Deputy Governor congratulated and commended the outstanding achievements that female bank officials have achieved in the past time, and highly appreciated the contributions of the Women's Union, Trade Unions at all levels and the Committee for the progress of women in the banking industry in effectively implementing meaningful activities.
In the context of rapid and strong digital transformation, women in the banking industry, with flexible, dynamic and creative thinking, need to constantly learn, proactively seize opportunities and be ready to adapt to changes in the working environment. Especially with regulations on financial technology, personal data, artificial intelligence... constantly updated, requiring female workers to proactively adapt and grasp quickly to avoid falling behind. Updating information, improving knowledge and cultivating new skills will help women keep up with the development trend of society, thereby affirming their role and position.
At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union reviewed the historical tradition of 115 years of International Women's Day on March 8, 1985, the anniversary of Hai Ba Trung's initiation.
Currently, the banking industry has more than 190,000 female cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers. Although each field has advantages and many difficulties, female banking staff always strive and confidently promote their full capacity, intelligence, bravery, and enthusiasm to strive to best complete assigned tasks, contributing increasingly positively to the overall development of the industry and the country.
There are more and more female cadres holding important leadership positions in units in the Industry, with their professional qualifications, capacity, and courage being increasingly improved, in which many women hold the position of unit leaders and key players in units. Those contributions not only affirm the position of women in banking, but also prove the indispensable role of women in the development of the industry.
