At the meeting, the representative of the NHVN Trade Union said that in 2024, with the efforts of all union members and employees in the entire system, the NHVN Trade Union organized and implemented many activities such as the Digital Training Program to study, research, and disseminate the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels for 100% of union officials and all union members and employees in the entire industry with high results and Training on trade union work with 2 training courses with 2 topics.
The NHVN Trade Union and all levels of trade unions in the entire system have had many outstanding programs and activities such as the second conference to honor 95 outstanding and exemplary grassroots trade union chairmen of the NHVN Trade Union in 2024; "Paying tribute to the revolutionary roots" at the historical relic site of the banking industry; "Female leaders of the banking industry learn from the example of Ho Chi Minh in his homeland" with the participation of nearly 300 delegates.
In particular, the NHVN Trade Union in collaboration with BIDV Trade Union organized the "Green Bank for Green Life" Contest, attracting 22 teams with more than 400 contestants from units and credit institutions in the industry.
The entire system has organized the "Union Meal" Program for 31,526 union members and employees to attend with a total organization cost of over 3.8 billion VND.
In addition, social security work is always an outstanding activity of the units in the system. Trade Unions at all levels in the system have coordinated with local authorities to visit and present over 62,802 gifts equivalent to 33.7 billion VND to poor households, policy families, meritorious people... and carry out other social security activities on the occasion of Tet, supporting 22 billion VND to support activities to honor and show gratitude to heroic martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
Faced with the severe consequences of storm No. 3, the NHVN Trade Union and its units have provided support to people affected by floods with a total amount of VND 38.4 billion. Trade unions at all levels have also coordinated with professionals to effectively carry out other social security activities with a total amount of more than VND 1,300 billion.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union - praised the achievements that the Vietnam Bank Trade Union has achieved in the past year.
“The NHVN Trade Union has always been highly appreciated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as one of the most active central trade unions, operating in depth, effectively and performing well the functions of a trade union organization; there are many new ways to promote the role of the specialized and specific industry system. In particular, in the past time, the NHVN Trade Union has researched and maintained a reasonable and streamlined organizational structure even before the current merger policy,” said Mr. Dao Minh Tu.
The Chairman of the NHVN Trade Union also emphasized the major orientations and activities in 2025, requiring all trade union officials at all levels to unite, continue to promote the role of the trade union organization, and complete the proposed programs and plans.
On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of the NHVN Trade Union, Mr. Dao Minh Tu expressed his gratitude for the great contributions of generations of trade union officials who have built and developed, laying the foundation for the strong Banking Trade Union today.
