Always identify members as the focus
The Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union of Thanh Hoa Province was established in 2007, and is a direct superior trade union of the grassroots level. Currently, the unit has 144 grassroots trade unions (UCs), including 142 enterprise-based unions and 2 administrative-based unions, with a total of 86,373 union members. With the aim of helping employees understand and improve their sense of discipline, comply with legal regulations, improve life skills, professional qualifications, etc.
Nghi Son Economic Zone Trade Union has innovated form and content, flexibly applied 4.0 technology in mobilizing and propagating for workers.
Identifying union members as the focus, taking good care of union members as the core, Nghi Son Trade Union at all levels has focused on mobilizing resources, focusing on union members; regularly organizing activities such as: "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health", "Month of Action for Children"... thereby creating a spread in society.
Performing the core function of the Trade Union organization, in the period of 2018 - 2024, Nghi Son Trade Union at all levels has taken care of more than 40,065 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, occupational accidents, and illnesses, with a total amount of more than 23.5 billion VND. Deploying to grassroots trade unions affiliated with 39 "Union member welfare" programs, thereby helping more than 167,000 people benefit with a total amount of more than 4.9 billion VND. Donating 51 "Union Shelters" with a support amount of more than 2.11 billion VND. Attention has been paid to taking care of the health and spiritual life of union members and workers.
Trade unions proactively propose that employers organize periodic health check-ups and specialist check-ups for union members and employees; organize cultural, artistic, sports activities, organize activities to return to the source, visit, travel... to create a useful playground and reduce stress for employees after work hours.
Regarding the work of developing union members, 93 new union branches were established and 69,286 new union members were admitted. Along with that, union member management software was deployed for 85 union branches. To date, the union branches have updated more than 75,500 union members to the software system.
Effective and practical emulation movements
In addition, the emulation movements in production labor in the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks trade unions were organized enthusiastically and effectively, creating many typical, creative and widespread emulation models with the theme "innovation, emulation to bring the Resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, the 20th Congress of Thanh Hoa Trade Union and the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union into life, practically achieving achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union".
Currently, the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones is effectively implementing a number of models such as: 3V Model (For Workers - For Trade Union Organization - For Sustainable Development of Enterprises); Book Club with workers; Workers' Cultural Corner; Park Company Model; Organizing movement activities from trade union groups; Club for Pregnant Women and Children...
The above models create a spread in the activities of the Trade Unions at all levels of Nghi Son Economic Zone and the provincial Industrial Parks, contributing to innovation, improving the quality and efficiency of trade union activities, meeting the needs and aspirations of workers in improving the spiritual and material life of union members and workers.
With the above achievements, Nghi Son Trade Union has been honored to receive many emulation titles and Certificates of Merit from the Government, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation. In 2024, Nghi Son Economic Zone Trade Union was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
