From training classes to practical awareness
Mr. Truong Ngoc Son - a union member of Quang Binh Urban Development and Environment Joint Stock Company shared that he used to think that digital transformation was just the job of state agencies or large enterprises. But thanks to this training course, Mr. Son understands that knowing how to use digital citizen applications, personal account security or recognize online fraud tricks is a skill that everyone needs to have, especially for workers like him.
Not only Mr. Son, many other union members also showed their interest and proactively acquired knowledge in the "Digital Education Forms" classes.
Mr. Vo Van Tien - Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the "digital cradle education" movement is not just a classroom, but a journey to open up digital thinking and action for union members and workers. The biggest goal is that everyone understands, knows and applies digital transformation to work and daily life.
According to Mr. Tien, from 2025 to 2026, Quang Binh province strives to popularize digital skills for 100% of union members and workers in the State sector and 70% in the non-State sector. At the same time, at least 60% will be confirmed to have completed popularizing digital knowledge on the VNeID platform. This is a strategic step in the context of the locality changing strongly, especially when the process of merging Quang Binh - Quang Tri is implemented.
More confident in cyberspace
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, a member of the health sector union, expressed that she had received a fake message about a bank and almost clicked on the link. Now I know how to check authenticity and report to the police if I am scammed. That knowledge is extremely valuable to her.
That is also the reason why the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinates with the police force to equip workers with skills to identify fraud, protect personal information, and avoid falling into the trap of high-tech crimes - an increasingly sophisticated and unpredictable type of crime.
The movement also aims to help workers understand and use digital services such as the Quang Binh Province Digital Citizen application (QUANG BINH-S), cashless payments, electronic transactions, contributing to building a safe and civilized digital lifestyle habit.
The Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor said that the "Digital education program" will continue to be organized throughout 2025 with an expanded scale, focusing on the non-state sector and disadvantaged areas. This is not only a solution to respond to digital transformation, but also a step to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in improving the literacy and digital knowledge of workers.
