Trade unions create a source of Party admission
Mr. Phan Ngoc Minh - Deputy Director and Party Secretary of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Investment Company (Duy Xuyen) - said that after more than 20 years of operation, this enterprise currently has 15 Party members, including business owners. The Trade Union has contributed significantly to discovering and training outstanding human resources to introduce and admit to the Party.
Mr. Minh cited the story of Mr. Le Van Tam - Chairman of the Trade Union of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Company. With 10 years of Party membership, Mr. Tam is not only an exemplary union cadre but also has many technical innovation initiatives, helping businesses save hundreds of millions of VND each year. Thanks to his outstanding contributions, he was honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as a typical national worker party member in 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Ky Vinh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Quang Nam Economic Zone and Industrial Park, said that the unit currently manages 106 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with nearly 50,000 union members.
Thanks to the close coordination between the Trade Union and Party organizations, the work of training and introducing outstanding union members to consider Party admission has been effectively implemented. In 2024 alone, 75 outstanding union members were introduced, of which 23 were officially in the ranks of the Party.
"Due to the nature of workers' party members associated with production, the Trade Union always innovates propaganda content, raising political awareness for union members. Through political activities, studying resolutions, combining patriotic emulation movements such as "Good workers - Creative workers", many outstanding workers have been trained and strived to become party members" - Mr. Vinh shared.
There are many challenges
Despite many positive results, with more than 2,220 outstanding union members introduced by the Trade Union to the Party for admission in 2024, the number of Party organizations in non-state enterprises in Quang Nam is still limited.
Currently, the whole province has more than 1,120 grassroots Party organizations, but only nearly 50 organizations are in the non-state enterprise sector, accounting for a very small proportion compared to nearly 9,000 operating enterprises.
One of the reasons for this situation is the inadequate awareness of some business owners about the role of the Party organization. In addition, the number of Party members in private enterprises is still small, making it difficult to maintain and develop the Party organization.
Mr. Tran Hiep - Director of Song Tranh 4 Hydropower Joint Stock Company (Hiep Duc District) said: "I personally realize that the establishment of a Party organization will create many favorable conditions for the company as well as the Party members of the enterprise. Especially creating conditions for party members working at the company to participate in party activities fully and regularly. Therefore, we always create favorable conditions for the Party cell to develop and operate in accordance with the provisions of the Party Charter and current guidelines, so that we can both develop production and perform well the task of building a clean and strong Party organization".
According to Mr. Phan Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor, in the coming time, the unit will focus on mobilizing the establishment of grassroots unions, creating a premise for the development of Party organizations in non-state enterprises. At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor has signed a coordination regulations with units and localities to create favorable conditions for workers to participate in classes to foster awareness of the Party, thereby gradually increasing the proportion of Party members in enterprises.
"From thousands of workers' party members in the area, we have selected 50 outstanding faces to commend and reward in 2025. These are all direct production workers, pioneers in labor, creativity, with many technical initiatives, constantly practicing ethics and being exemplary in all activities. They are not only good workers, dedicated to their profession but also carry noble ideals, contributing to building an increasingly strong Party organization in enterprises, emphasized Mr. Phan Xuan Quang, Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor.
