Attending and directing the congress were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Dang Binh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Dinh Quang Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and 280 delegates representing more than 33,000 union members.
Speaking at the congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu acknowledged and commended the outstanding results of the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in Thai Nguyen province in recent times.
At the same time, he suggested that trade unions at all levels in the province continue to innovate the content and methods of operation. Focus on representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Promote patriotic emulation movements associated with improving labor productivity, digital transformation and building a modern workforce, meeting development requirements in the new situation.
This Congress also summarized and comprehensively evaluated the workers' movement and trade union activities for the 2023 - 2028 term. At the same time, analyze the context, opportunities, advantages and challenges in the new period. Determine the direction, goals, tasks and main solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term.
In the past term, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union admitted more than 33,000 union members, established 136 new grassroots unions; introduced 4,272 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission. The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers has been effectively implemented with many practical programs.
The Congress also discussed and contributed many in-depth opinions to reports, action programs and draft resolutions.
At the congress, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor announced the Decision to appoint the Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union Executive Committee, term I, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 27 people. Ms. Do Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor; Ms. Tran Thi Hong Thai and Mr. Doan Manh Thang were appointed to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, 2025 - 2030.
Speaking at the closing session of the congress, Ms. Do Thi Hien - President of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor - affirmed: "The 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, has ended, opening a new journey with many opportunities, fortunes and many difficulties and challenges. However, with the tradition of solidarity, sense of responsibility, will to be self-reliant, self-reliant and the desire to contribute of the working class and the Thai Nguyen Trade Union organization, we believe and expect the success of the new term.
