The Trade Union of Hanoi National University - VNU-HN (under the Vietnam Education Union) has just organized a Conference to summarize 15 years of implementing Resolution 06a/NQ-TLĐ dated January 6, 2011 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), term X on "Continuing to innovate the content, methods and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities" and Conclusion No. 02/KL-BCH dated March 17, 2021 of the Executive Committee of the VGCL (XII term) on continuing to implement Resolution 06a/NQ-TLĐ.
Attending and directing were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao - Chairwoman of VNU-HN Trade Union; Standing Committee, Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of VNU-HN Trade Union and nearly 100 officials of the grassroots trade union executive committee, grassroots trade union inspection committee directly under it.
According to the report at the conference, after 15 years of implementing Resolution 06a/NQ-TLĐ, VNU Trade Union has strongly developed in scale and quality, from 3,300 union members (in 2011) to 5,300 union members (in 2025); 100% of officials, teachers, and employees participate in trade union organizations.
Regarding care work (period 2020–2025), VNU-HN Trade Union spent more than 1.5 billion VND to support union members; the total amount of support for epidemic prevention and control and natural disasters reached more than 8 billion VND.
Regarding innovation in operating methods and digital transformation, the Hanoi National University Trade Union applies technology with 100% of directing documents being implemented via E-office and zalo, using electronic union member management software.
Regarding training, VNU-HN Trade Union organized over 30 training classes for more than 3,500 turns of trade union officials.
The Trade Union of VNU-HN coordinates to organize annual conferences of officials and employees; conduct periodic dialogues to resolve petitions, and prevent complicated complaints. The Chairman of the VNU-HN Trade Union directly participates in important councils (emulation and commendation, salary increases, recruitment) to protect the legitimate rights of employees.
Along with organizing the conference summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution 06a/NQ-TLĐ, VNU Trade Union also organized a professional training conference on inspection and supervision of the implementation of the Trade Union Charter and trade union financial management.
