On September 16, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of TKG TaeKwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City) presented 3 billion VND to support people in the northern provinces to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province. The amount includes 1.5 billion VND donated by the company and 1.5 billion VND contributed by union members and employees of the enterprise. The entire amount will be transferred directly by the Dong Nai Red Cross Society to people affected by storms and floods in the northern provinces.
Previously, the Trade Union of TKG TaeKwang Vina Joint Stock Company mobilized all employees of the company to contribute to support the people in the North who suffered losses due to floods, each employee voluntarily agreed to contribute from 50,000 VND or more.
The grassroots union of TKG TaeKwang Vina Joint Stock Company has mobilized union members to support from September 12 to September 14 and has received 1.5 billion VND. It is continuing to mobilize employees to contribute and will transfer it to the second phase.
According to Dinh Sy Phuc, Chairman of the Trade Union of TKG TaeKwang Vina Joint Stock Company, during the campaign to support people in the northern provinces that suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3, the union received the trust and consensus of union members and employees, so the campaign was carried out quickly and effectively. At the same time, the union also received the trust and consensus of the company's Board of Directors, as well as sympathy from foreign experts.
"After listening to the Union's campaign, the company's Board of Directors quickly agreed to support an additional 1.5 billion VND and Korean experts also actively responded," said Mr. Phuc.
