According to Manpower Company's forecast, regarding the salary and welfare prospects of industries in Vietnam in 2026, the adjustment of salaries for business leaders in 2026 shows that the recommended salary for senior executives (CEO) or general managers in most industries will decrease by 1-5% compared to 2025 depending on the number of years of experience. Banking (in the financial - banking industry) is the only sector that recorded a minimum recommended salary for the CEO position increasing by 7-12%.
Salaries for middle-level and lower positions have mostly decreased due to the recommended salary reduction for most positions in industries. The bright spot is the manufacturing and mechanical industries when there are many positions with increased or unchanged salaries.
The average salary increase in 2026 is strongly differentiated: The industry with the highest annual salary increase is technology and digitization (10-15%); logistics and supply chain (10-20%). The tourism and hotel industries; construction and real estate have the most modest salary increase, at 3-5% per year.
