Complete the final bridge span
Nhat Le 3 Bridge, component project 2 of the key infrastructure development program of Quang Tri province, is entering the final stage. The project has a total investment of 1,300 billion VND, with a total length of more than 2.8km. The main bridge is 561.4m long, 23.5m wide, spanning the Nhat Le River connecting the center of Dong Hoi City with Bao Ninh Commune. The investor is the Quang Tri Department of Finance, the construction unit is Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company.
These days, the working atmosphere at the construction site is bustling. More than 80 engineers and workers took turns working 3 consecutive shifts. There are sufficient machinery and equipment to ensure the progress of the project.
Engineer Tran Khac Luat - Director of the Project Management Board of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - said that the project has reached nearly 90% of the total output. All arch sections have been installed, steel arch cables have been hung up to create a complete shape for the main bridge.
At present, the unit is focusing on completing the steel arch cable stretching process, which requires absolute accuracy, using specialized equipment such as 5,000-ton barges and 800-ton shaft cranes nearly 93m high.
In parallel with the main bridge, the approach bridge items are also basically completed. The project management board said that the project is expected to be completed in 2025, one year earlier than the original plan.
Ceremony for project progress
The National Day on September 2 is an occasion for reunion and rest, but at the Nhat Le 3 bridge construction site, dozens of workers and engineers are still working day and night. They temporarily put aside their personal joys, away from their families, and work through the holidays to keep their commitment to progress.
Engineer Le Minh Tri shared: Although we miss our home, we still strive, because we are proud to contribute to a large project in the province. Seeing each completed steel arch burning, seeing the bridge gradually taking shape, all the hard work is worth it".
Worker Nguyen Duc Dai also confided: Working through the September 2 holiday, away from home, everyone misses home, but thinking about the bridge being completed soon, serving people's convenient travel, all the hardships disappear. We consider this both a responsibility and a source of pride for the builders.
At the construction site, the brothers encouraged each other, considering each other as relatives. Looking at each welding match, each burning of steel into shape, the workers clearly saw their efforts contributing to creating a new symbolic project for their homeland.
At the construction site, the slogan "Safe - quality - progress" is put first. Each group of workers works carefully, coordinates smoothly, and is under the strict supervision of the technical team. Fire prevention, fire fighting, environmental protection, and labor safety are given absolute attention.
With the determination to complete Nhat Le 3 Bridge early, the collective of engineers and workers are making efforts every day, considering the construction through the ceremony not only a responsibility for the progress of the project but also a source of pride in contributing to the new appearance of Quang Tri.
When completed, Nhat Le 3 Bridge will not only relieve traffic pressure, connect the center of Dong Hoi with the sea side but also open up opportunities for tourism and coastal service development, creating a highlight for modern infrastructure.
In the atmosphere of the whole country towards National Day, the image of workers at the construction site bustling with hammers and the sound of machines is even more meaningful. That is a vivid testament to the spirit of persistent labor, building the homeland from the sweat and will of the craftsman.
