The first industrial park in the security zone is about to be completed
In recent years, Thai Nguyen has focused on developing industrial parks to expand production, especially in mountainous communes that lack economic momentum. This policy creates opportunities for mountainous areas to attract investment and form concentrated production areas. Among them, Tan Duong Industrial Park is identified as a key project of Dinh Hoa Security Area when this area still faces many difficulties. The formation of the industrial park will support localities in shifting economic structure, reducing dependence on agriculture and creating a foundation to attract businesses to invest and develop the economy.
The project started construction in November 2022 with a total capital of more than 450 billion VND invested by Thagaco International Investment Joint Stock Company. The project is deployed on 13 hectares with a prime location, located next to Provincial Road 254 and Ho Chi Minh Road, facilitating production connection and access to on-site labor resources.
According to the record at mid-November 2025, the project's infrastructure items such as site clearance, internal roads, drainage, lighting and factory No. 1 area have been basically completed. The construction unit is installing electrical systems, ventilation and equipment in the workshop to prepare for the trial run.
Previously, in an interview with reporters, Truong Cong Chuong - Director of Tan Duong Industrial Cluster - said that the project progress was nearly 100% and some other auxiliary items were gradually being completed. Factory No. 1 aims to operate this year, expected to create jobs for more than 4,000 workers.
This is the first industrial park project in the locality and has a special significance in expanding development space. When completed, the project will support sustainable poverty reduction and promote the industrialization of the ATK region.
Job expectations from the hundred-billion-dong project
The lack of jobs has forced many young workers in Dinh Hoa to go far to find jobs. Therefore, the Tan Duong Industrial Park project preparing to be put into operation is considered an opportunity for workers to have more career options near their homes.
Having a house near a project under construction, Ms. Tran Thi Thom said that in the past, people mainly relied on agriculture, however, economic efficiency was not high, while production costs were increasing.
Many young workers here want to work close to home but do not have suitable options, having to travel to remote and arduous provinces. When we received information about the project being implemented and about to be completed, we were very happy because when this industrial park was put into operation, the children could work closer to their parents and stabilize their lives" - Ms. Thom shared.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (Tan Duong) informed that he works far away, sometimes a lot of work but sometimes very little, causing unstable and unstable income. Meanwhile, the cost of living is expensive, and there are almost no left at the end of the month.
"In the future, when Tan Duong Industrial Park comes into operation, many workers like us will also calculate to return to their hometown to find a job to reduce costs as well as not have to go far to have more time for their family" - Mr. Hung added.
When businesses operate stably, the demand for unskilled labor will increase, leading to the development of ancillary services such as transportation, food and accommodation, creating conditions for people to change their livelihoods more sustainably.
To date, Thai Nguyen has 13 industrial parks in operation, attracting 75 production projects. In 2024 alone, the revenue of projects in the industrial park will reach VND10,612 billion, creating jobs for 11,738 workers and contributing VND176 billion to the local budget.
