Practical utilities when living in social housing
After finishing work, Ms. Cao Thi Thu (from Ninh Binh province), a worker working at Bao Minh Industrial Park (Lien Minh commune, Ninh Binh province), only took a few minutes to return to her apartment in the social housing area for workers.
Closing the door of the room after a day of work, Ms. Thu said that her family's life has changed a lot since being arranged to live in the social housing area in the IP.
I work right in Bao Minh Industrial Park, so since moving here, going to work is much more convenient. Previously, my house was more than 30km from the company, and it took a lot of time and money to travel back and forth every day. Now, in just a few minutes, I can be at work or return to my office after work" - Ms. Thu shared.
Not only convenient for going to work, Ms. Thu is also more reassured when her young child is studying at a kindergarten right in the social housing area. Every morning, on the way to the company, she takes her child to class and then continues to work. In the afternoon after work, she picks up her child without having to go around outside the IP.
The kindergarten is right in the area, so it's very convenient. I no longer have to drive far to pick up and drop off my children like before. In the cool afternoon, the two mothers and children often go down to the playground in the social housing area, both to let my children play and for me to relax" - Ms. Thu said.
According to Ms. Thu, living in social housing not only helps save time and travel costs but also creates conditions for workers to have more time to rest and take care of their families after each shift.
Not only Ms. Thu, many other workers living in the social housing area in Bao Minh Industrial Park also clearly feel the changes in their lives. Being near their workplace helps them significantly reduce travel time, and at the same time have more conditions to take care of their children and family.
Mr. Tran Viet Khuong - a worker living in the social housing area of Bao Minh Industrial Park - said that amenities such as kindergartens, playgrounds, and common living spaces help families with young children to be more convenient, while significantly reducing travel time after work hours.
Continue to build 848 apartments for rent
Currently, the social housing area of Bao Minh Industrial Park has 388 apartments and has been fully filled. Besides the kindergarten system, playground, and sports area, this place is also arranged with 3 security posts on duty 24/24 hours, contributing to ensuring security and safety so that workers can feel secure in living and working.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that this model is promoting efficiency in stabilizing housing and living conditions for workers, thereby helping workers feel secure in working and long-term attachment to businesses. Developing social housing associated with industrial parks not only meets the housing needs of workers but also contributes to stabilizing human resources, improving productivity and creating a foundation for businesses and localities to develop sustainably.
In addition to the above social housing area, Bao Minh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company is constructing the Bao Minh Leasing Housing project. The project is invested synchronously, including: 3 9 story building blocks and 9 3 story building blocks; green landscape trees, internal roads and yards and technical infrastructure system located within the project boundaries.
When completed, the project will provide 848 social housing apartments for rent with areas from 25m2 - 70m2; business and commercial floor area, meeting the housing needs of about 1,500 people. According to the approved schedule, the project will be completed and put into use in the fourth quarter of 2028.
