Connecting jobs, guiding career for young people

The " Job Fair" series is organized by the Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang City in coordination with the mountainous localities of Tay Giang, Dong Giang, Thanh My, Kham Duc, Phuoc Chanh continuously from the end of August until now. Not just a job fair, the event becomes a bridge, opening the door to sustainable poverty reduction for young people in mountainous areas.

Mr. Zho Lam Lang (22 years old, Tay Giang commune) shared: "I studied mechanical engineering at intermediate level, graduated 2 years ago but had to stay at home to work on the fields with my parents because I could not find a stable job. Today, having a direct interview with a labor export enterprise, I found the job and treatment suitable. Hopefully, I will soon go to Korea to work like some of my villagemates, have a stable income to help my family and save for the future."

Lang's story is also the common sentiment of more than 400 young people who were first consulted and oriented for a career right in the locality, without having to travel hundreds of kilometers to the city. This is the most obvious effect of the programs " bringing jobs to the villages".

At the job fair, workers were also disseminated about the Law on Employment, unemployment insurance, vocational training support, and labor export loans.

Among nearly 10 participating enterprises, Thuan An DMC Vietnam Joint Stock Company offers hundreds of recruitment targets.

Mr. Tran Hong Phong - Deputy General Director of the Company - said: "We implement a 0 VND labor export program, from documents to exit, all are supported. Recently, the company has sent more than dozens of mountainous workers to Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China) to work. Workers here are very hard-working and well-disciplined. This time, we need to recruit a large number, hoping that many young people will boldly register to change their lives".

Life-changing opportunity for young people in mountainous areas

In Kham Duc commune, a week before the festival, the village loudspeaker continuously announced, commune officials went to each household to mobilize. Thanks to that, the trading session attracted more than 500 workers, many of whom were Je Trieng people.

Ms. Ho Thi Ba said: Before, I thought that if I wanted to find a job, I had to go to the city, which cost me a lot of travel. Today, businesses come to the commune to recruit, I find it very convenient. I decided to submit my application immediately to try it.

According to the leader of Kham Duc commune, the locality has more than 3,000 aged workers. Mountainous people have little access to information. Through the festival, many young people have directly connected with businesses, opening up opportunities to stabilize their lives and increase their income. This is an important step to escape poverty sustainably.

Mr. Nguyen Qui Quy - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang City - said that from the end of August 2025 to now, dozens of businesses have participated in trading sessions with more than 3,000 positions and jobs in Tay Giang, Dong Giang, Thanh My, Kham Duc, Phuoc Chanh.

In addition to coordinating with recruitment businesses to bring jobs to the villages, the city is also expanding cooperation with many localities and foreign businesses to create more opportunities for young workers.

We not only solve immediate employment problems, but also aim to develop high-quality human resources. The positive response of people and businesses is an optimistic signal for labor and employment in mountainous areas" - Mr. Quy emphasized.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the total capital for job creation loans in Da Nang city will reach 6,219 billion VND. Of which, more than 14,000 workers in ethnic minority and mountainous areas are supported with preferential loans of more than VND 931 billion to solve employment and expand production; nearly 9,500 workers are supported with short-term vocational training from national target programs... In 2025, Da Nang aims to send about 2,300 workers to work abroad for a limited period.
