On April 12, the Labor Federation of Cam Le District, Da Nang, said that the unit had just held a conference to launch the Executive Committee of the non-state grassroots trade union and to propagate, dialogue, and provide legal advice to union members and workers in affiliated grassroots trade unions.
At the conference, the Federation's leaders announced and presented decisions to establish 3 new grassroots unions in the non-state sector, including: Hung Cuong Central Joint Stock Company's Union, D. Test Company Limited and Phong Viet One Member Co., Ltd. with a total of 345 newly admitted union members.
At the same time, receive 2 grassroots trade unions transferred from Thanh Khe District Labor Federation, including: Branch of GMO-Z.com RunSystem Joint Stock Company in Da Nang City and Viet Huong Ceramics Joint Stock Company.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Trong Nguyen - Chairman of the Cam Le District Labor Federation - requested the Executive Committees of grassroots unions to quickly stabilize their organization and put into effective operation; develop action plans and programs to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers at the unit.
On this occasion, delegates attending the conference were also informed about the Trade Union Law and the Social Insurance Law in 2024 with a number of new points directly related to union members and workers, such as: rights and responsibilities of union members; the right of the Trade Union to supervise and provide social criticism, expand the subjects participating in compulsory and voluntary social insurance, change regulations on enjoying sick leave, add maternity and work accident regimes to voluntary social insurance policies...
