Talking to PV, Ms. Be Thi Hoa - Chairwoman of Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation shared: "Lang Son has the characteristics of a highland, border province with limited infrastructure and investment resources. The labor force is mostly concentrated in small-scale enterprises, production and business activities in some units are sometimes unstable. In that context, the problem of gathering workers and building strong grassroots trade union organizations is posed as a major challenge for the staff.

However, by closely following grassroots levels and flexible mobilization methods, the worker and employee movement has recorded a spectacular breakthrough. In the past term, the entire system has made efforts to establish 21 new grassroots trade unions in units and enterprises outside the state sector.
The result of newly admitting 5,530 trade union members, reaching 138% compared to the planned target. With the motto of putting workers at the center, the work of caring for material and spiritual life is always prioritized by Lang Son Trade Union levels.
Programs imbued with the trade union brand such as "Tet Sum vay", "Workers' Month" or "Trade Union Tet Market" have become annual activities, continuously innovated in form, spreading warmth to each boarding house and each workshop.
Trade union levels have coordinated to organize visits and gifts for 144,611 turns of union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total mobilized budget of up to 62.2 billion VND. In particular, the widespread implementation of the "Trade Union Meal" program from 2024 has brought extremely positive social effects.
Nearly 20,000 turns of union members have enjoyed quality meals, warm solidarity, helping to tighten the relationship between workers and business owners with a total support amount of nearly 2 billion VND.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation Social Fund has truly promoted its role as a "midwife" for social security. From this meaningful fund, 340 cases of union members suffering from serious illnesses, serious damage due to natural disasters or facing housing difficulties have been promptly supported, helping them to firmly overcome adversity and continue to feel secure in labor and production.



In parallel with activities to care for life, the work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers is also strategically enhanced. Trade union levels have proactively promoted collective wisdom, organized to widely collect opinions to contribute to draft laws that are close to people's lives such as the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law, the Employment Law, the Land Law...
More than 200 draft documents of the province have been contributed and criticized sharply by the Trade Union. The implementation of grassroots democracy regulations has had clear changes. Notably, in the non-state sector, the rate of signing collective labor agreements reached 93.27%, creating a solid legal corridor, building harmonious labor relations, and minimizing disputes.
From that thorough care, the spirit of dedication of workers is strongly awakened through the emulation movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor". The whole province has recorded more than 13,000 topics and technical innovation initiatives directly applied to practice, bringing economic benefits of more than 6.3 billion VND. More honorably, 12 individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
With the spirit of towards the border, the Trade Union organization has mobilized resources to build 4 roads to inspect border markers and protect the border with a budget of 700 million VND and 2 village road lighting projects worth 120 million VND.
Towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031, trade union levels in Lang Son province are actively preparing breakthrough steps. With the core motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the organization determines that the innovation of operating methods must be closely linked to the digital transformation era and the continuous movement of the labor market. Promoting the application of information technology in management, administration and interaction with union members is considered an important lever to improve work efficiency," Ms. Hoa added.
