The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam hopes that in the coming time, units in the whole industry will continue to closely follow the industry's development strategy, the Vietnam Green Banking Development Project, the Action Plan for Sustainable Development, etc.

Therefore, the State Bank needs to continue to play a leading role in perfecting and promulgating appropriate mechanisms and policies to promote green credit and green banking; build a clear legal corridor, integrate environmental protection and sustainable development into the credit granting and risk management process. Promote action plans for green growth, adjust green banking development projects and reform the credit institution system to facilitate sustainable financial development.

Credit institutions need to increase investment in green sectors and sustainable development projects, such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, emission reduction and climate change adaptation. It is necessary to train staff in green finance and develop products suitable for greening and digital transformation needs.
