Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu, along with leaders of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Banking Trade Union attended the final match.
In the final match, the two teams Hanoi Trade Union 1 and Bank Trade Union played with determination.
The capital's representative took the lead with a score of 2-0.
However, a brace from player Tran Phuc Doan helped the Bank Union tie the score 2-2 in a dramatic fashion, bringing the match into a penalty shootout.
The penalty shootout lasted until the 11th round. Hanoi 1 Union successfully executed all their shots. Meanwhile, the Bank Union missed the decisive shot.
As a result, the championship of the qualifying round of region 1, held in Bac Ninh, belonged to Hanoi Union 1 with a score of 11-10 in the penalty shootout.
The 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, Region 1, will take place over three days from October 18-20 at Tu Son University of Physical Education and Sports. The four teams with the best results will qualify for the final round in Hanoi in November 2024.
