On May 30, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led a working delegation to visit and present "Gifts from the Congress" to union members in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases in An Giang province.
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Head of the Trade Union Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Mr. Pham Van Dang - Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation.
Despite the heavy rain, the delegation went into a small alley to see and hear firsthand the difficult circumstances and kindly encouraged, shared and handed over gifts with the desire to contribute to sharing material difficulties and adding motivation to life for union members, workers, and laborers.

The delegation visited and encouraged 3 union members of An Giang Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company (AGIFISH) namely Mr. Do Thanh Phong, Ms. Truong Thi Kim Lanh and Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc. All three are suffering from incurable diseases, requiring prolonged treatment. Despite suffering from serious illnesses, they still strive to stick with their work, maintaining their lives in a self-reliant and self-respecting manner.
The delegation visited Ms. Le Thi Hoang Oanh, a union member of An Giang Water and Electricity Joint Stock Company. This is a very tragic case. She herself is being treated for cancer, her husband is seriously ill and is currently being treated at the hospital.
These are meaningful gifts within the program "Gifts from the Congress", towards celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress. Handshakes and sincere words of encouragement are great spiritual therapies to help Ms. Oanh be more confident in overcoming the serious illness.

Before the close attention of the Trade Union organization, Mr. Nguyen Van Ky - General Director of AGIFISH Company committed to continue to arrange jobs suitable for workers' health, and at the same time strongly respond to patriotic emulation movements launched by the Trade Union.
The working trip demonstrates the close connection between the Trade Union organization and the local government. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong affirmed that the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province are very interested in the important political event of the working class and said that on June 1, 2026, the province will organize a meeting and give gifts to the An Giang delegation before leaving for the Capital to attend the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
