Expanding production demand
An Giang SamHo Company (An Giang Province) has increased recruitment with the goal of reaching 11,000 employees by the end of 2025 and about 14,000 employees in 2026 due to the need to expand production.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh - Head of Human Resources Department of An Giang SamHo Company - said that orders at the company increased but were implemented according to the roadmap, so there was no overload. The unit proactively balances the number of employees with actual orders, as well as assigns overtime to workers to ensure production progress.
"Human resources in the province tend to be saturated, it is very difficult for us to attract workers from other provinces. The interviewers were mostly workers in the old An Giang province. In addition to increasing recruitment, we pay special attention to retaining employees, to ensure that the number of employees will reach about 14,000 employees by the end of 2026, when the enterprise builds more factories" - Ms. Oanh shared.
At An Do Duong Company Limited (Can Tho City), orders also remained stable, increasing sharply from May to August, ensuring jobs for employees until the end of 2025. Although recruitment has been increased, according to the company's assessment, most young workers tend to change jobs quickly, focusing on departments that require skills.
"In addition to the reasons such as not being able to withstand cold environments and suffering from diseases related to bones and joints, sinusitis... the fillet and styling department requires skill, so young workers are unable to meet the requirements, are not productive enough and are easy to change jobs" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Bang Tuyen - Head of Human Resources Department and Chairwoman of the Trade Union of An Do Duong Company Limited - said.
Increasing union member welfare
Along with the prescribed income such as basic salary, allowances, diligence bonuses, etc. An Giang SamHo Company has actively coordinated with the unit's Trade Union to organize many activities to care for union members and employees.
Notable examples include installing a purified ice cream machine at the company; performing free repair and patching of vehicles and organizing a convenient store model for employees to buy goods at preferential prices...
If we only increase recruitment without retaining workers, causing the workforce to come and go continuously, it will be difficult to ensure the expected quantity and production demand at the Company, said Ms. Oanh.
Sharing this view, the Trade Union of An Do Duong Company Limited also has many practical activities to encourage and retain workers, especially senior and skilled workers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bang Tuyen informed that the unit maintains monthly visits, encouragement and support activities for units in difficulty, illness and disease. At the same time, give gifts to union members and employees on holidays and Tet; give away Trade Union Shelters; Golden Heart Scholarships...
Every year, the company organizes awards for children of union members and employees with good and excellent academic achievements from 300,000 VND or more/child, depending on their school level. In particular, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the company and the Trade Union have paid a cash bonus of VND 70,000/united member" - Ms. Tuyen said.
According to the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, processing industry, services, healthcare, information technology and construction will be the sectors with great demand for labor recruitment in the last months of 2025. Specific recruitment positions include production workers, garment workers, business managers, medical staff and information technology experts.
Some industries have good prospects for development in the remaining months of 2025 and are likely to attract high-level human resources related to artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, data processing, business situation analysis, etc.
