On October 23, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation announced that the Cam Thuy Commune Labor Union had just solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. This is an event of special significance, marking a step forward for the trade union organization since Cam Thuy commune operated under the two-level local government model.
Attending and directing the Congress were Comrade Luong Trong Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province; comrades in the Provincial Trade Union Steering Committee; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and 100 delegates representing more than 4,800 union members in the area.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuong - Chairwoman of Cam Thuy Commune Trade Union said that after more than 3 months of establishment under Decision No. 661/QD-LDLDLD of the Provincial Labor Federation, the Commune Trade Union has quickly stabilized its organization, perfected the apparatus, built unified operating regulations, effectively implemented emulation movements and union member welfare programs.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", for the 2025 - 2030 term, Cam Thuy Commune Trade Union sets out 7 key targets, in which it strives for over 90% of grassroots trade unions to complete their tasks well and 20% or more to complete their tasks excellently; each grassroots trade union has at least 1 outstanding union member introduced to the Party for consideration and admission.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Luong Trong Thanh acknowledged and praised the initial results of the Cam Thuy Commune Trade Union, and at the same time requested the new Executive Committee to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, proactively coordinate with the government and socio-political organizations, perform well the function of representation, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the Congress, the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee and the key positions of the Cam Thuy Commune Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030, were announced. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of Cam Thuy Commune, term I.
