On October 29, the 1st Van An Commune Trade Union Congress (Nghe An Province) for the 2025-2030 term was solemnly held with the participation of 110 delegates representing nearly 5,000 union members of 31 affiliated grassroots unions.
Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; comrade Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation; and leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Van An commune.
Van An Commune Trade Union currently manages 31 grassroots trade unions with nearly 5,000 union members in Van An, Nam Dan, Dai Hue, Thien Nhan, Kim Lien, Hung Nguyen, Hung Nguyen Nam and Lam Thanh areas.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thac Au - Secretary of the Van An Commune Party Committee and Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Executive Committee in the past time; at the same time, he requested the Commune Trade Union to continue to promote its role as a representative, caretaker, and protector of the legitimate rights and interests of workers; promote emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government.
At the Congress, the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee of the Van An Commune Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term were announced the appointment decision. Comrade Phan Cong Dung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van An Commune was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of Van An Commune, term I, 2025 - 2030.
