On the afternoon of December 22, the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor held a press conference to promote the 16th Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
At the press conference, representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor informed about the preparation for the Congress. Accordingly, the 16th Son La Provincial Trade Union Congress is an important political event for the working class and the provincial Trade Union organization, held in the context of Son La entering a new stage of development, with many requirements and tasks for the trade union organization.
In particular, the implementation of the two-level local government model has created major changes in trade union organization and activities. After the arrangement and consolidation, Son La Provincial Trade Union currently has 188 grassroots trade unions with more than 12,000 union members, mainly concentrated in the career and enterprise sector.
This Congress is tasked with evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Trade Union Congress; determining the goals, directions, and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the documents of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress; and electing the Executive Committee of the Son La Provincial Trade Union, term XVI.
At the press conference, representatives of central and local press agencies highly agreed with the propaganda plan before, during and after the Congress; at the same time, they suggested that the Provincial Federation of Labor closely coordinate with press agencies to develop specific propaganda plans, creating favorable conditions for reporters to work, fully and promptly reflecting the activities of the Congress.
The Son La Provincial Federation of Labor affirmed that it will closely coordinate with press agencies to spread the spirit and meaning of the Congress, contributing to creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the province.
