At the "Miners' Tet - Celebrating the Glorious Party" 2025, held at the workers' dormitory of Hon Gai Coal Company, Ha Long City, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Deputy General Director of TKV - said that 2024 was full of difficulties and challenges, but with the tradition of "Discipline and Unity", the collective of cadres and workers in the whole Group promoted internal strength, actively competed in labor production, and exploited the maximum output of coal and minerals.
Thanks to that, the economic development needs were met; some key production and business targets were achieved and exceeded the annual plan; the lives of employees and workers were ensured.
In particular, in taking care of jobs, salaries, living conditions, and welfare regimes for employees, trade unions at all levels have coordinated to effectively implement key tasks in Directive No. 213C1/DU, dated December 19, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Group on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025 and activities to celebrate the Party and Spring 2025.
Of which, 100% of employees in the Group received a Tet bonus of 10 million VND/person; more than 36.6 billion VND was spent to support units facing difficulties; cash support of 2 million VND/person was given to 12,579 employees with excellent achievements in production and business and workers in difficult circumstances. 74,088 Tet gift bags were given to employees; some units paid cash from 1 - 3 million VND/person. Tet gifts were given to over 940 families of employees who died due to work-related accidents, workers with 81% health loss and an additional support of 5 million VND/person for this group.
To welcome the Lunar New Year 2025, TKV plans to arrange about 286 buses to take nearly 10,000 miners and their families and relatives home for Tet and pick them up after Tet.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, the program "Miners' Tet - Celebrating the Glorious Party" 2025 is an event in a series of events and activities of the TKV Group and Trade Union in 2025.
In this program, the units of the Group have many activities, such as: giving away Tet gift bags, handing over "Union Shelter" houses, having fun and lucky draw; activities to care for, support finances, give gifts of necessities; organizing cooking for workers, banh chung wrapping contest, organizing year-end party and cultural and sports activities on Tet holiday at workers' dormitories.
