On January 21, information from the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor said that up to now, all levels of the provincial Union have spent nearly 40 billion VND to care for and support more than 40,000 union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Of which, the budget from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor and district and industry trade unions to support union members and workers is 7,389 billion VND.
Grassroots trade unions in the whole province spent over 30 billion VND from trade union funds and from socialized sources, support from businesses, organizations... for more than 35,000 union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supported 2.45 billion VND, including 3,500 free shopping vouchers (each voucher worth 500 thousand VND) with a total value of 1.75 billion VND for Nghe An workers participating in the "Trade Union Tet Market" program in 2025; 500 gifts worth 650 million VND were given directly to Nghe An workers by leaders of the Party, State, Central National Assembly Deputies, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province presented 50 gifts to union members and workers in Con Cuong district and Quynh Luu district, each worth 500,000 VND in cash, with a total donation of 50 million VND.
Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor spent regular operating expenses to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 1.489 billion VND, including: Subsidizing 1,188 workers in difficult circumstances, each person received 500 thousand VND, totaling 594 million VND; Giving gifts to workers in the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang" at WHA Industrial Park and the Provincial Labor Culture House, totaling 395 million VND; Organizing 10 working delegations to visit and give gifts to 500 workers at 10 enterprises in the province, totaling 500 million VND.
District, city, town labor federations and industry unions spent 3.45 billion VND to give gifts and support to union members and workers at grassroots unions.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, union members and workers of Nghe An province were honored to receive Tet gifts from leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, including: Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Party Central Committee member, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education; Ms. Nguyen Van Chi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education; Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee for Law; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Tran Thanh Ha, Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
