Mr. Le Trong Thai is 1 of 780 official delegates attending the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031. Mr. Thai brought the belief and expectations of union members and workers of Lam Dong province to this important event.
As a full-time trade union official at an FDI enterprise with more than 3,800 union members and employees, Mr. Thai has proactively arranged work from the end of May to attend the congress, while ensuring that activities to care for and protect the rights of union members at the unit are not interrupted.
Mr. Thai said that being elected as an official delegate to attend the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress is a great honor. He expects the contents discussed and resolved at the congress to more effectively orient trade union activities and policies to care for workers in the new term.
As a young trade union official, Mr. Thai focuses on innovating operating methods, promoting the application of information technology in propaganda and connecting union members.
Internal Zalo groups, notice boards, and factory loudspeakers are used flexibly to transmit information; while Facebook groups are channels to receive feedback and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members.
Through these interaction channels, many recommendations related to working conditions, policies and workers' lives are summarized by the trade union and proposed to the Company's Board of Directors for consideration and resolution, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
The dynamism of young trade union officials is also reflected in many practical activities to care for union members and workers. Over the past time, grassroots trade unions have coordinated with businesses to organize the "Trade Union Meal" program with a support level of 55,000 VND/meal. At the same time, 3,809 workers have had periodic health check-ups.
The Trade Union also coordinates to propagate and disseminate labor regulations, company regulations and knowledge about occupational safety and health, helping workers raise awareness in the production process. In particular, Mr. Thai has participated with businesses in building, amending, and supplementing collective labor agreements with many clauses that are more beneficial to workers than current regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - highly appreciated the innovations in the operation of the grassroots Trade Union of Nam Ha Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd., especially the role of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union Le Trong Thai in caring for union members and building a strong Trade Union organization.
For Mr. Le Trong Thai, attending the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress is not only an honor but also a great responsibility. He wishes to contribute opinions from production practice and the lives of workers, contributing to building a Trade Union organization that is increasingly close, effective, and substantive, and continues to be a reliable support for union members and workers.
