The Hanoi Employment Service Center said that it is estimated that in the city, in December 2025, workers with job search needs are over 93,000 people.
Based on surveys and information collection on 4,100 job seekers of the Center, it shows that at the end of the year, workers increase the demand for seasonal jobs and part-time jobs to earn extra income to prepare for the Lunar New Year. The main salary that workers look for is 5-10 million VND (accounting for 77.1% of the total job search demand). Next is the salary level of 10-20 million VND (accounting for 20.7% of the total job search demand).
Regarding age, the young labor force group from 25-34 years old continues to be the largest job seeker, accounting for 43% (down 34.0% compared to the previous month). This shows that this generation of workers is in the strongest stage of career transition. Conversely, the more experienced age group from 35-54 years old continues to occupy the second position, accounting for 40.5%. The job search demand of workers in December focused on occupational groups: simple labor (accounting for 18.9%), assembly and operation of machinery and equipment (accounting for 17.9%) and management leaders (accounting for 15.9%).
Regarding professional qualifications, the largest proportion is the "untrained" labor group, accounting for over 50% of the total number of job seekers surveyed; followed by the labor group with "unqualified technical workers" accounting for 23.5%. The "university or higher" labor group accounts for 18.4%. This shows that although the demand for seasonal recruitment at the end of the year is increasing, stable and long-term job opportunities for the general labor group are still limited.
