Based on surveys and information collection of 4,568 recruitment targets from 907 turns of businesses implemented by the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the recruitment demand has some outstanding characteristics as follows: The "sale, retail and other service activities" industry continues to affirm its pillar role when accounting for 57.4%; the "industry, processing, manufacturing" industry accounts for 22.2% of total recruitment demand; followed by the "construction" industry accounting for 1.5%.
Also in December 2025, recruitment demand focused on the group of professional specialists/technicians and workers/technicians (accounting for 20.4% and 15.1% respectively of total recruitment demand) to serve the rapidly increasing production and business demand in the last months of the year. Industry groups recorded high recruitment demand such as retail, construction, mechanical engineering, electricity - electronics - refrigeration, textiles and garments. This is a great opportunity for workers to find jobs suitable for attractive salaries in the last months of the year.
Considering the requirements for qualifications, along with the dominance of seasonal and part-time labor positions, the demand for professional qualifications of workers also fluctuates, mainly focusing on general labor qualifications and unskilled technical workers (accounting for 4% of total recruitment demand). Next is university or higher education workers for professional specialist/technician positions accounting for 20.8%.
The change in qualification requirements is also closely corresponding to the shift in the salary structure that businesses offer. Salaries from 5-10 million VND/month account for the largest proportion, accounting for 62%. Meanwhile, salaries from 10-20 million VND/month decreased to 36%. Salaries from 20 million VND/month or more only account for 0.9% of the total recruitment demand, showing that at the end of the year, businesses have less demand for recruiting high-level personnel positions, high-level professionals. This shift affirms the trend that businesses are focusing on promoting recruitment in the part-time labor segment, seasonal labor with low salaries in order to quickly fill positions to strengthen production and business capacity.
The number of applications for unemployment benefits and the number of workers with decisions to receive unemployment benefits tend to decrease compared to November 2025 (from 5,730 applications to 4,428 applications).
