Support vocational training for female workers after unemployment

"Now the children are older, the housework is also stable, but I am not confident when looking for new jobs, worried before returning to the labor market because there is a lack of skills, difficult to compete with young workers today," Dao said.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Head of the Department of Consulting Introduction - Vocational Training Center of Hai Phong City Employment Service Center - said that in addition to supporting the procedures for unemployment benefits for employees, from 2014 to the present, the Center organizes free vocational training classes for unemployed labor, especially female workers, so that employees are more confident when returning to the labor market.
Currently, the center is maintaining free training courses for employees to enjoy unemployment insurance, from 3 to 6 months of which, the fostering classes of foreign language English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, focusing on foreign language communication skills for employees, learning in the time frames suitable to the needs, combining two direct and online learning forms. For example, Chinese training has implemented 9 courses with the participation of hundreds of workers. Many employees after 3 sessions have been able to communicate basic and find appropriate jobs after completing the course.
Grasping the current labor market trend, the center also opens personal makeup training classes, preparation of drinks, food processing, fashion sewing vocational training classes, industrial sewing ... for employees, especially female workers.
"Each year, more than 1,000 workers have completed free training courses, of which many cases have quickly found appropriate new jobs and stable income," Thanh said.
Help female workers soon return to the labor market
Along with vocational training support, monthly, the center maintains job sessions in the form of online, directly for employees, connecting jobs for thousands of employees each year.
In 2025, with the goal of creating jobs for 58,500 employees, the urban unemployment rate reached less than 3.5%, the center maintained the sessions in both online and direct forms. Most recently, on April 14, nearly 2,000 employees participated in the job session in two forms. At the end of the session, many candidates were invited to interview in -depth by the personnel of the business, achieving the initial preliminary recruitment of about 41%. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (34 years old, Thuy Nguyen City): "After many years of working in the seasonal work, through the session on April 14, I was interviewed directly, accepted to work in VSIP Industrial Park suitable for myself."
Representative of job introduction - vocational training department said that through job consultancy sessions for employees, many employees, especially female workers, encounter barriers when returning to the labor market, especially psychologically. Therefore, in the coming time, in parallel with vocational training, employment connection, the center will also maintain the organization of thematic talks to share difficulties and obstacles of female workers, helping them to have more information about the labor market before searching for new jobs for themselves.
