According to plan No. 120/KH-LDLD that has just been issued, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will support 1,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash, for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Notably, the beneficiaries of support are not only limited to the poor and the sick, but also include workers who have lost their jobs, reduced working hours, occupational accidents, people living in boarding houses, non-public workers, and even union members in policy families. The careful review and specific allocation of each grassroots union, ward, commune, industrial park, etc. shows careful and serious preparation in the organization stage.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - affirmed: "We do not need support in the form of dividing or giving, but we set a clear requirement: It is necessary to choose the right people in real need, with clear, transparent records and inspection and supervision. Although each support period is not large, we want to convey the message: The Union is always by the side of workers, especially in difficult times.
Not stopping at providing support alone, the Da Nang Trade Union has chosen a smart form of integration: Combining caring activities with the National Day for National Security Protection. This is not only a widespread political and social event, but also an opportunity to connect the working community, arouse a sense of responsibility and awareness of protecting a safe and stable living environment.
At the Festival taking place on July 26, the Da Nang Trade Union will not only award the "Union Shelter" for the second time, supporting union members in difficulty but also commend and reward typical models such as "Self-managed Workers' Group in Boarding Houses" - a unique and profoundly humane initiative in the context of rapid urbanization, workers far from home living in boarding houses are increasingly many.
