On the morning of April 19, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in collaboration with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held the opening ceremony of the 17th "Worker Month" with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneered the new era" and "Responding to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene" in 2025 with the theme "Enhancing assessment, risk recognition, risk and proactive implementation of measures to ensure labor safety and hygiene at work".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Chi Tam - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized that "Workers' Month" has become an important annual political activity. Along with the "Workers' Month" activity as "month of action on occupational safety and hygiene" to implement Directive No. 31-CT/TW, dated March 19, 2024 of the Secretariat "On continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership in occupational safety and hygiene in the new situation".

The Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union will promote emulation movements among employees to complete practical key projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and major holidays and Party congresses at all levels.
Propaganda to encourage union members and workers to actively study to improve their professional skills, update knowledge and digital skills in production labor, cultivate courage, innovate working style, improve integration skills, confidently enter a new era, an era of national growth.
At the same time, advising the committees to coordinate with the authorities and employers to meet dialogue with trade union members, workers, create conditions and environment for union members and workers to achieve their aspirations with the Party, local authorities, units to listen and promptly solve problems and worries in employees.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation presented a symbol recognizing the emulation project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) to representatives of 6 trade unions with emulation projects, and presented 205 gifts (each worth 2 million VND) to union members and workers with pineapple diseases.

It is known that during this year's "Workers' Month" and "Workers' Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene", Ho Chi Minh City Trade Unions at all levels organized many activities to effectively and practically care for union members and workers.
In general, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the District Labor Federations and the grassroots trade unions will spend more than 150 billion VND to take care of union members and workers.
