On the afternoon of May 20, the Central Committee of the Fatherland Front (Fatherland Front) in Vietnam held a preliminary assessment of the results of collection of comments to the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2013 (draft) in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system.
Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Fatherland Front Committee, Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the conference.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, former Vice President, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor attended the conference.

Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front informed the preliminary results of the consultation in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system on the draft.
Up to now, through a quick report from member organizations, the Fatherland Front of the provinces has organized 6,558 conferences to collect opinions. According to statistics, the total number of comments is 717,712, of which 715,617 opinions are in favor, 2,095 opinions are in favor and there are proposals to amend and improve the draft.
Through the consultation conferences at the Central level, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received 60 opinions from the Advisory Council members, Presidium members, representatives of member organizations, experts, scientists, and outstanding individuals who spoke directly at the conferences and sent votes.
The majority of opinions expressed high unity on the need to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution and expect new points in the draft to effectively serve the organization and operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as well as the policy of building a two -level local government. The Constitution is an important political - legal document that stipulates big, basic and strategic issues of the country, so this amendment is only for the arrangement of the state apparatus, other issues will be reviewed and summarized for comprehensive amendments.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy, the decision to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, including the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations are a political determination of the Party and the State in building the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations near the people and more people.

The content of the draft, in which the amendment and supplementation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations is in accordance with the strong renovation requirements on organization of operating methods and political responsibilities in the new development period. The content of amendments and supplements in Article 9 of the 2013 Constitution has more clearly affirmed the position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as the part of the political system, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, which is the political basis of the people's government.

At the conference, delegates continued to contribute opinions to the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
