Tens of billions of VND to take care of union members' welfare
In the first 6 months of 2025, Hue City Trade Unions at all levels have achieved many positive results in representing and caring for the lives of union members and workers. Notably, promptly resolving policies and regimes, protecting the rights of employees at enterprises that have stopped operations; organizing dialogues between leaders of Hue City People's Committee with more than 500 union members and employees, answering 15 groups of recommendations on employment, social insurance, education, and health.
The implementation of democratic regulations, negotiation, and signing of collective labor agreements (CLAs) has been effectively implemented with 25 enterprises signing new CLAs (reaching 250% of the target), 29 enterprises negotiating to increase the value of shift meals. 100% of administrative units and state-owned enterprises organize labor conferences.
During the Lunar New Year, the city's trade unions at all levels mobilized more than 25.5 billion VND, taking care of more than 85,000 union members and workers. The "Union Tet Market" program and online shopping via chotet.congdoan.vn attracted a large number of union members to respond. The City Labor Federation also supported the construction and repair of 35 "Union Shelters" with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND.
Labor safety and hygiene, health care, legal dissemination, application of information technology, and cultural and sports organization are all implemented synchronously and creatively. In particular, during Workers' Month 2025, Hue City achieved 100% of the target of organizing activities at grassroots trade unions, supporting 264 union members in difficult circumstances, and providing free medical examinations for thousands of workers.
Strengthening care for union members' welfare
According to Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet - Vice President of Hue City Labor Federation, in the last 6 months of 2025, the City Labor Federation will focus on implementing key tasks to adapt to the context of many fluctuations in the socio-economy. The focus is on effectively implementing the resolutions of the Party and Trade Unions at all levels and Resolution 02 on innovating trade union organization and activities in the new situation.
The Hue City Labor Federation promotes care for and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; handles issues of unpaid wages and social insurance debts, strengthens collective bargaining, cares for welfare and stable employment. Organize propaganda and political and legal education activities; strengthen inspection, supervision and promote the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots unions.
"Along with that, the city's trade union focuses on organizing activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, summarizing activities in 2025, developing a plan to take care of Binh Ngo 2026, and improving the effectiveness of trade union financial and asset work," Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet informed.
