The launching ceremony of Workers' Month 2026 was organized by the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) on May 9 and 10 at 2 locations: My Tho ward and Cao Lanh ward. With the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity", this year's Workers' Month focuses on affirming the role and position of the working class in the new development stage, while promoting the attention of the entire political system, businesses and society in caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.

According to the plan, the activities are implemented in conjunction with the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, prioritizing organization at the grassroots level, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate. Trade unions at all levels are required to proactively coordinate with the government and businesses to ensure practical efficiency, mobilize social resources to better care for workers.
One of the highlights is the "May Dialogue" Program and the Forum "Trade Union Members Contributing Opinions to Building Vietnam Trade Unions in the New Era". This is an opportunity for workers to directly express their thoughts, aspirations, and contribute opinions to improve the Trade Union organization before the 14th Congress.

In parallel, the "Thank you to Workers" program continues to be promoted through activities to visit and give gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, people injured in labor accidents, occupational diseases; organize "Trade Union Meals", welfare booths, periodic health check-ups and psychological and reproductive health counseling.
Cultural and sports activities, worker family festivals, football tournaments, contests... are also widely organized, contributing to improving spiritual life and strengthening solidarity among workers.

Notably, the Provincial Labor Federation will organize the "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" Day, supporting workers to improve professional skills, adapt to digital transformation, green transformation and international integration.
Workers' Month 2026 is also associated with the peak of launching the emulation movement "Good labor, creative labor", encouraging union members to propose technical innovation initiatives to improve labor productivity. Strive to have at least 10% of workers participate in contributing initiatives, of which 30% are applied in practice.
Along with that, the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, and introducing outstanding union members to the Party has also been promoted, especially in the non-state business sector.

At the provincial level, many large-scale activities will be organized such as the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, occupational safety and health competitions, Gameshow "After work", worker football tournament, support for "Trade Union Shelter" and replicating the model "Pregnant Women and Child Raising Clubs".
In order to promptly record and encourage, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation plans to reward a maximum of 10 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health activities in 2026.
Through a series of rich and practical activities, Workers' Month 2026 in Dong Thap expects to continue to spread the spirit of innovation, improve labor productivity, and at the same time consolidate the trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization and the overall development of the locality.
