Substantive dialogue, effective negotiation, creating a stable foundation for labor relations
Identifying workers as the most valuable resource creating sustainable development, in the past time, the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) has directed trade union levels to closely follow grassroots levels, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ).
Not only stopping at visiting and giving gifts on holidays and Tet, the role of the Trade Union has become deeper. The highlight throughout the 2023-2025 period is the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. The Provincial Trade Union proactively coordinates to implement the Democracy Regulation at 983 state-owned units and 782 non-state-owned enterprises; promotes substantive dialogue, effective negotiation, creating a stable foundation for labor relations.
In the period 2023 - 2025, trade union levels organized 75 supervision and inspection sessions at more than 300 enterprises; promptly protecting workers' rights through handling hundreds of petitions and violations. The rate of periodic dialogues at enterprises is maintained at 90% annually. The whole province only has 1 case of collective work stoppage and has been resolved early, contributing to maintaining workers' security and social order.
In addition to caring for life, Quang Ninh Trade Union is also a pioneer in launching emulation movements "Good Labor, Creative Labor". Through art performances, sports tournaments and skills training classes, the Trade Union has helped workers not only be good at their profession but also rich in spiritual life, creating the characteristic strength of solidarity and discipline of the mining area.
In the context of Quang Ninh strongly transitioning to a green economic model, the Trade Union organization plays an important bridge role. Trade unions help workers understand and adapt to new technologies, and participate in criticizing social security policies, ensuring that no one is left behind in the development process.
Continuing the belief in the achievements, Quang Ninh Trade Union is aiming for a new term with higher determination, worthy of being a large socio-political organization of the working class, contributing to realizing the aspiration to build a model, rich and civilized Quang Ninh province.
Bright spot in enhancing the role of trade union organizations in FDI enterprises
In the context of foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) developing rapidly, Quang Ninh Trade Union strengthens its representative role, taking care of workers, contributing to stabilizing labor relations and promoting sustainable production.
At Song Khoai Industrial Park (Hiep Hoa ward), Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd. (a Swedish enterprise), although newly put into operation from October 2025, with about 200 workers, has soon built a relatively stable salary and welfare system. The average income of workers currently reaches from 8 to 9 million VND/person/month.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duy - Chairman of the company's Trade Union - said that from December 2025, the Trade Union Executive Committee has worked with business leaders to develop Tet bonus plans and year-end regimes. Accordingly, employees are rewarded with the 13th month's salary and gifts worth 2 million VND/person. The Trade Union also supports an additional 500,000 VND/person from the unit's budget; organizes visits and encourages workers far from home and people in difficult circumstances.
At Taiheiyo Shinju Vietnam Pearl Company (a Japanese enterprise) in Van Don Special Zone, the Trade Union of Van Don Special Zone organized a survey to grasp the situation of implementing regimes and policies for workers, especially female workers.
Regimes on salaries, bonuses, social insurance, labor protection, maternity, holidays, Tet are fully implemented, many contents are higher than the provisions of law. Female pregnant workers are arranged for lighter jobs but still receive full salary; workers are rewarded with the 13th month salary, meal support and receive full salary during the Vietnam National Day and Japanese National Day holidays.
Trade union levels in the province continue to promote patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants, and laborers, considering this an important driving force to promote production, business and improve labor productivity.
In 2026, Quang Ninh Trade Union sets a target of having over 3,000 recognized initiatives and technical solutions, bringing benefits of tens of billions of VND; and at the same time deploying hundreds of projects and tasks to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, the 16th National Assembly election and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
One of the highlights of this year's emulation movement is the program "Trade Union Flower Garden - Green, Clean, Beautiful Enterprise". The program also aims to raise the awareness of union members and workers in building a safe, friendly, and civilized working environment; gradually forming a production space harmonious with nature, associated with the sustainable development goals of enterprises.
Many grassroots trade unions have concretized it with practical models suitable to the actual conditions at the unit.
At the branch of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Quang Ninh (Dong Mai Industrial Park, Dong Mai ward), after working hours, a large number of workers voluntarily participated in caring for and renovating a park of about 8,000m2 within the factory premises.
Mr. Bui Duc Tung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. Branch in Quang Ninh - said that the Trade Union has coordinated with professional departments to launch a movement to build a "green - clean - beautiful" environment, mobilizing union members and workers to actively participate in preserving the landscape, organizing waste collection, taking care of green trees and flower gardens in the enterprise premises.
