In his position as Chairman of the grassroots trade union, he proactively proposed to business leaders many policies that bring practical benefits to workers.
From ensuring salaries are paid on time, fully implementing social insurance regimes to caring for welfare and supporting union members facing difficulties, all are effectively implemented by the trade union in coordination.
As a young female trade union official accompanying more than 300 union members, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Thuy - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of a seafood farming and exporting enterprise in Dong Ninh Hoa ward - is also planning activities to show gratitude to union members.
According to Ms. Thuy, to become a good trade union official, you not only need enthusiasm but also to know how to listen, share and see workers as your own relatives.
In the Workers' Month 2026, she launched to each union member to constantly learn, improve professional qualifications, skills, especially digital skills, industrial style and labor discipline awareness. Innovation must start from small initiatives in the daily production process.

According to Mr. Bui Hoai Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation will organize a program to celebrate and honor 97 outstanding grassroots trade union presidents in 2026.
The selection of grassroots trade union presidents will be based on many strict criteria. They must be cadres who promote the role of trade union leaders well, organize many practical activities that bring benefits to union members and workers and make positive contributions to the development of units and businesses.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of holding the position of Chairman of the grassroots trade union, and have achieved emulation titles or forms of commendation from directly superior trade unions, provincial labor federations, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, or equivalent.
In addition, grassroots trade unions must have over 90% of employees joining trade union organizations; not owing social insurance; fully implement grassroots democracy regulations, organize employee conferences, periodic dialogues and have at least three consecutive years of successfully completing tasks or more.
The program not only aims to honor dedicated and responsible trade union officials but also contributes to widely propagating the 97-year tradition of building and developing the Vietnam Trade Union, affirming the role of the working class and trade union organizations in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
