Supporting 51 union members with solid houses
On March 14, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor held a summary of Trade Union activities in 2024 and launched an emulation movement in 2025.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2024, all levels of the province's Trade Unions achieved many remarkable results in caring for the lives and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
Notably, the work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members. Thereby, building harmonious and stable labor relations.
Union member care work has been implemented in many forms, bringing positive results such as: Supporting the cost of building new Trade Union Shelters for 34 union members, and 17 union members repairing houses, with a budget of more than 2.6 billion VND.
On the occasion of Tet 2024, Trade Unions at all levels organized many activities to support Tet gifts, Tet markets... with more than 16,000 members and employees benefiting. The total value of activities supporting union members and employees is nearly 9 billion VND.
The first year of the "Union Meal" program has mobilized 121 businesses to pay attention and adjust the value of meals for members and employees.
Activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union were organized at all levels in a practical and meaningful manner. The highlight is the program of gratitude and thanks to 2,000 workers who have made many contributions to the development of the locality, unit, and enterprise. In particular, on this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor was honored to receive the Second Class Independence Medal.
2024 is also the year that marks a change in the work of developing union members and building organizations. With the establishment of the Steering Committee for developing union members and the establishment of provincial-level grassroots unions, thereby changing the way of mobilizing and admitting 12,547 new union members, turning into a series of 61 grassroots unions and 4 specialized trade unions in the informal labor sector.
Promoting emulation movements to improve efficiency and performance
Entering 2025, together with the whole country, Khanh Hoa Trade Unions at all levels will carry out the task of arranging and perfecting the apparatus. Up to now, Khanh Hoa has completed the dismissal of 6 industry-level trade unions and established the Party and Government Trade Union from March 1.
At the same time, arrange personnel work for the Party Committees, Trade Unions, the Government, and public service units after the merger and dissolution; ensure smooth, effective, and uninterrupted activities in the Provincial Federation of Labor system and trade unions at all levels.
With the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time", the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor launched a patriotic emulation movement with 6 contents.
In particular, focusing on competing to effectively organize the implementation of programs, plans, and projects to concretize Resolution 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
Compete to promote and improve the quality and effectiveness of representative activities, protect legitimate rights and interests, care for the lives and ensure jobs for union members and employees; determinedly and drastically implement solutions to develop union members and establish grassroots unions, especially in units and enterprises outside the state sector.
