Currently, the Vietnam Science and Technology Union (CDKHCN) is managing 54 affiliated trade unions with more than 82,650 union members.
In the period 2023-2025, inspection and supervision work was deployed synchronously, ensuring the correct orientation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and in accordance with the actual situation. The Inspection Committee (UBKT) of CDKHCN has issued many directing and guiding documents to improve the quality of inspection and supervision activities of trade unions at all levels.
In 2023, the Industry Trade Union Inspection Committee organized 3 inspections and supervisions (1 co-level, 2 at grassroots trade unions); grassroots directly superior trade unions organized 7/7 co-level inspections; grassroots trade unions 23/23 inspections; grassroots trade union Inspection Committee conducted 701 inspections of the compliance with regulations and trade union finances. In 2024, the Inspection Committee organized financial inspections in 2023 and inspections at 2 grassroots directly superior trade unions, 4 grassroots trade unions; grassroots directly superior trade unions deployed 6/6 co-level inspections; grassroots trade unions 24/24 inspections; the entire system conducted 1,171 inspections at affiliated grassroots trade unions. In 2025, co-level inspections of financial implementation in 2024; corporations, general corporations and trade unions organized 54/54 co-level inspections (reaching 100%) and 390 charter and financial inspections at affiliated units.
CDKHCN has focused on inspecting spending regulations, asset management, revenue decentralization, budget expenditure and the implementation of financial policies. The results show that trade union levels strictly comply with regulations, and promptly overcome shortcomings in revenue and expenditure work and accounting books.
Supervision work has been strengthened with a total of 967 inspections, including 772 organizational inspections and 195 inspections of trade union officials. The main content of inspections is compliance with regulations, resolutions, operating principles, handling petitions and performing assigned tasks. The inspection results help promptly propose and adjust, contributing to improving the efficiency of trade union activities.
