Saving and benefiting businesses nearly 17 billion VND
Mr. Nguyen Tang Phap graduated with a bachelor's degree in petrochemicals from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in 2014. In December 2015, Mr. Phap was recruited to work at SEHC. Gradually striving, Mr. Phap was promoted to be the Head of Production Quality Improvement Department of SEHC.
One of Mr. Phap's outstanding initiatives is the design of a material error prevention system for the LCM (TV screen panel) line. From the daily inadequacies in production, Mr. Phap researched and developed a 100% material code checking system on the TV screen panel line, before assembly. This system is built cost-effectively and saves the company an average of about 50,000 USD/year.
Not stopping there, Mr. Phap also continued to research the software control smart system solution of Mainboard TV (PBA Main SW) to help companies and suppliers avoid using the wrong software (due to old or wrong software) to prevent incidents from occurring during production. Thereby saving costs of about 100,000 USD/year.
Mr. Phap has many other technical initiatives and improvements. In general, Mr. Phap's total initiatives and improvements from 2022 to February 2025, benefiting the company is about 432,456 USD, equivalent to nearly 17 billion VND.
Helping workers to be less tired and safer in production
Sharing with reporters, Mr. Phap said that the initiative, technical improvement, and bringing technology into the factory is not a story of big, distant ideas, but starts from observing very carefully each production stage, each small operation of workers on the line, to find the points that can be improved.
I am always concerned about how to make workers increase absolute accuracy, increase labor productivity, work lighter, less hard and safer in production. These things have always motivated me to find many solutions and automation support tools to replace manual jobs to reduce heavy work for workers, increase absolute accuracy and improve labor productivity" - Mr. Phap said.
Not only good at his profession, Mr. Phap also actively participated in Trade Union activities and was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the SEHC grassroots Trade Union. Mr. Phap is one of the delegates to attend the first Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress for the term 2025 - 2030 and was assigned to attend the 14th National Trade Union Congress for the term 2026 - 2031.
In particular, with initiatives, technical improvements and dedicatedly imparting experience and knowledge to young engineers and workers, Mr. Phap is one of 11 individuals who will be honored to receive the 25th Ton Duc Thang Award soon to be held.
